Winning symbols are removed and new symbols drop into the gaps, so a single spin can pay several times before it ends.

What it means for you: Raises the ceiling of any one spin and lengthens it. Sessions feel streakier than the hit frequency alone suggests.

After the payout of every round is made, winning symbols explode and the symbols above them cascade down for a new round; additional winning combinations are tallied in every round until no more combination can be formed, per section 3.2 of the sheet.

A triggered round of spins that costs nothing and usually changes the maths.

What it means for you: Where most of the return lives in modern slots. How long it takes to reach is the feature frequency.

3 or more Scatter symbols appearing anywhere trigger the Free Spins Feature. Stated in section 2.4 of the sheet.

The multiplier climbs each time a condition repeats, such as every tumble or every retrigger, and usually resets when the feature ends.

What it means for you: The dominant source of extreme outcomes in modern grid slots; it is why a tumble chain's length matters more than any single clearance in it.

During any spin, all wins are multiplied by the multiplier shown above the reels, starting at x1 in the first round. A win in the first round raises the second round's multiplier to x2, a win in the second round raises the third round's to x3, and a win in the third round raises every round after that to x5. Named on the sheet's own cover page ('All wins will increase the multiplier!') and detailed in section 2.3.

Landing the trigger again during the feature adds more spins, sometimes without a limit. Whether a game retriggers is often the difference between a feature that pays and one that does not.

What it means for you: Widens the range of feature outcomes sharply. Most rounds end at the minimum and a few run very long.

The sheet states plainly that free spins can be retriggered, without separately restating a threshold; the Free Spins Feature's own 3 Scatter trigger is the only rule the document gives, and it governs a retrigger as well as the initial award. Stated in section 2.4.

Substitutes for other paying symbols to complete a win, usually excluding scatters and bonus symbols. This is the baseline symbol behaviour, present on the overwhelming majority of titles, and its exclusions are what actually differ between games.

What it means for you: Raises hit frequency. On its own it does not move volatility.

The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except Scatter and appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4, per section 2.2 of the sheet.

The player picks between free spins variants before the round starts, more spins at a lower multiplier or fewer spins at a higher one, built to the same return.

What it means for you: Lets the player choose their own volatility for the round, rather than being assigned a fixed spin count and multiplier.

Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols anywhere triggers the Free Spins Feature, and before it starts the player chooses one of three variants: 20 free spins with multipliers of x1, x2, x3 and x5; 10 free spins with multipliers of x3, x6, x9 and x20; or 5 free spins with multipliers of x6, x12, x18 and x40.
